A “GREEN” Christmas?

Christmas is coming. When we are planning a happy Christmas vacation, most of us are considering what we can do to reduce the resource wasting while have a merry Christmas. Here I want to share several ideas with you.

It is said that if each Canadian saves the cover paper for 3 gift packs, the saving paper may cover 45 thousand ice-hockey rinks. Furthermore, most of gift cover paper is made of the paper covered by non-degradable materials such as wax, plastic or metal. The only method to handle these used imperishable materials after holiday is to bury it, which is unfriendly to the environment.

The good way to show the friendship with environment is avoid over packing, especially not to choose no degradable wrapping paper. It will be a good idea to warp gifts with dated newspaper. The gifts for children covered with colorful cartoon pages may attract more attention.
Another way to contribute to the environment is try not to buy a Christmas tree. But it is hard to believe the Christmas without any Christmas holiday. But if you notice that there are many pines are cut down only for the Christmas week, you may understand what I mean.

There are ideas to solve this conflict. A small bonsai pine surrounded by Christmas flowers bonsai contributes the Christmas cozy feeling in the festival. After the festival, the pine baby tree may be transferred into the garden, the formal Christmas tree is growing up year after year in front of your house to guard and bring the luck to the environmentalist’s family. Energy saving color illumination may save 90 % power compares to normal colored bulbs.

There are variety ideas to save energy and friend to environment. You may find more only if you aware of the importance. Please no hesitate to share with others. We may be able to do more save our only one earth.
